The
Messenger

Of course, there are certain kinds of people

who will always be weaker than most.

People are born that way.

When they are small and weak they are called children.

Little children are often bullied by those bigger than themselves,

sometimes by bigger kids, and sometimes by grown-ups.

They may not like being bullied, but they are too little to do anything about it.

But Muslims were shown how to behave towards little children by following the example of Muhammad the Messenger.

Muhammad had a great love of children, and never lost his temper or shouted at them.

Even when he was making his prayers, in the most important moments of his day, the children would play around about him.

Muhammad was known as the most gentle of men.

Sometimes when he was kneeling in prayer, with his face on the ground, the little children would climb up on his back.

Even then, he didn't push them away, but just stayed with his head on the ground a little longer than usual,

or sat up more slowly so that the little ones wouldn't fall off and get hurt.
