Groupings
So,
look around you and everywhere you see people doing things together.
People find out very early in their lives that they can't do very much on their own.
Babies can't even feed themselves or dress themselves, and have to be helped until they learn how.
But even when they have learned how to do things for themselves,
people still choose to do things with other people,
because it makes so many things easier,
more interesting, or more fun.
Sometimes it is impossible to do something without having someone to help.
Some things are too heavy for one person to lift,
or perhaps you need someone to open a door
if you are carrying something in both of your hands.
So people join together to work and play,
and share what they know about the things that interest them
or things that are useful in their lives.
And from their first little groups of families and friends people organise bigger groups
to do things that need more and more people.
And in the end, they are able to organise really complicated things,
like running a school or a hospital,
places that need lots and lots of people who know different stuff
and do different jobs.
Nobody can know all about everything
and be good at doing everything,
but if we organise ourselves we can all work together towards the same end
and with the same intention.
So it is good for us to know different things,
and be good at different things,
and for that we need to learn about the things we are interested in
from those who know more about them than ourselves.
And then we can pass on what we know to other people
who are interested in the same things as us.
And so we learn from each other and knowledge is shared.
Which way
do you want to go?
Working together
Organising together to build things, grow things and make things,
Playing together
Organising ourselves in different ways to share the joys of living as human beings. Making rules to play by, and striving to do our best?
Shared interests
Gathering together to gaze at the wonder and beauty of the world. Studying the things we love and passing on what we enjoy. The fun of sharing?
Shared way of life
Coming together with family and friends and all our community sharing our religion. Mosques, madrassahs and meeting places? to comfort the lonely, care for the sick, and feed the poor of the world?
We created humans
and We know
what their souls
whisper inside them
and We are closer to them
than their jugular veins
whatever they wish for
and with Us there is
still more
for your Liege
in the night
and after you have
made Sajda
people who believe
and urge each other
to be patient
and urge each other
to be merciful
