the Ever-Merciful

the sending down
of the Book
in which there is
no doubt
from
the Liege of
all the worlds
or do they say
"He made it up"?
say
"No
it is the truth
from your Liege"
so you may warn
a people
for whom
no warner came
before you
so that hopefully
they may be guided
God is Hu created
the heavens and the earth
and what is between them
in six days
then seated Hu
upon the Throne
apart from Hu
you have no protector
no one to step in for you
will you not remember?
Hu
controls everything
from heaven to earth
then it goes up to Hu
in one day
which measures
a thousand years
of your counting
Hu is
the Knower of
the unseen
and the visible
the All-Powerful
the Ever-Merciful
Hu has created
all things well
and began
the creation of
humans
out of clay
then Hu shaped
their offspring
from what came from
a despised liquid
then Hu shaped them
and breathed Hu's spirit
into them
and made for you
hearing and sight
and hearts
little thanks you show
they say
"What
when we are lost
in the ground
will we really be
in a new creation?"
no
they do not believe in
the meeting with their Liege
say
"The Angel of Death
who has been given
charge of you
will gather you
and to your Liege
you will be returned"
if only you could see
the guilty
hanging their heads
before their Liege
"Our Liege
we have seen and heard
now return us
so we can do good
now we believe"
if We had willed it
We could have shown
every soul
its right way
but now My Word
is shown to be true
surely I shall
fill Hellfire
with jinn
and humankind
together
so taste it
because you forgot
the meeting
on this
your day
We have forgotten you
taste
the punishment of
forever
for what you did
the only ones who truly
believe in Our Signs
are those who
when they are
reminded of them
fall down in Sajda
and call out
praise of their Liege
and are not proud
their sides
stay away from
their beds
as they call on their Liege
in fear and hope
and they spend
from what
We have provided
for them
no soul knows
the delight
that is
kept aside for them
secretly
as their reward
for what they were doing
is someone who believes
like someone who
has been wicked?
they are not equal
as for those
who believe
and do what is right
waiting for them are
Gardens of Safety
comforts of home
for what they did
but as for those
who are wicked
their shelter
will be the Fire
as often as they want
to come out of it
they shall be
put back into it
and it will be said to them
"Taste the punishment of
the Fire
which you called a lie"
and We will surely
let them taste
a closer punishment
before the greater
in the hope that
they will turn back
and who could do
a greater wrong
than those who are
reminded of
the Signs of their Liege
then turn away from them?
We shall take revenge
upon those who do evil
We gave Moses the Book
so do not be
in doubt about
the meeting with him
and We made it
to be a guide
to the Tribe of Israel
and We made leaders
from among them
guided by
Our command
while they
suffered patiently
and had sure belief
in Our Signs
surely your Liege
will decide between them
on the Day of Rising
concerning the things
about which
they were arguing
are they not guided
by the many families
that went before them
that We already destroyed
and in whose living places
they now walk?
surely in that are Signs
will they not hear?
have they not seen
how We drive
the water
to the dry land
and bring out from it
crops
which are eaten
by their livestock
and themselves?
will they not see?
they also say
"When will it be
this victory
if you speak the truth?"
say
"On the Day of Victory
their belief
will be no good
if they are
ungrateful
nor will they
be given
relief"
so turn away from them
and wait
they too are waiting
