God
the Fount-of-All-Mercy
the Ever-Merciful
Ha Mim
the sending down
of the Book
is from God
the All-Powerful
the Wise
surely
in the heavens and the earth
there are Signs
for those who believe
and in your creation
and the crawling things
Hu spreads around
there are Signs
for a people who have
sure belief
and in the changing
of the night and day
and the providing for you
that God sends down
from heaven
and by it gives life to the earth
after it is dead
and in the turning
of the winds
there are Signs
for a people who understand
those are the Signs of God
that We read to you in truth
so what kind of speech
after God and Hu's Signs
will they believe?
woe to every wicked liar
those who hear
the Signs of God told to them
then carry on full of pride
as if they
have not heard them
so give them the good news
of a painful punishment
and when they know
anything of Our Signs
they ridicule them
for them is waiting
a shameful punishment
Hellfire is at their heels
and what they have earned
will not help them at all
nor will those
they took as protectors
apart from God
for them is waiting
a mighty punishment
this is a guide
and those who do not believe
in the Signs of their Liege
for them is waiting
an angry painful punishment
it is God
Hu has made the sea
to serve you
so that the ships may run on it
at Hu's command
and so you may search out
Hu's bounty
hopefully you will be thankful
and Hu has made
what is in
the heavens and the earth
to serve you
it is all from Hu
surely in that are Signs
for people who think
say to those who believe
that they forgive those
who do not fear
the days of God
so Hu may reward people
for what they have earned
whoever does what is right
it is to their own gain
and whoever does evil
it is to their own loss
then to your Liege
you will be returned
indeed We gave
the Tribe of Israel
the Book
the Judgement
and the Newsbringers
and We provided them
with good things
and We favoured them
above all beings
We gave them Clear Signs
of the command
so they did not differ
except after the knowledge
had come to them
when they
insulted one another
surely your Liege
on the Day of Rising
will decide between them
with regard to
their differences
now We have set you
on the Way of the command
so follow it
and do not follow
the urges of those
who do not know
surely they will be
of no use to you against God
surely those who do evil
are friends of each other
God is the Friend
of those who are
Mindful of God
this is clear proofs
for humankind
and a guide
and a mercy
to those who are certain
or do those who do
evil deeds
think that We will make them
like those who believe
and do what is right
so that their lives and deaths
will be the same?
how badly they judge
God created
the heavens and the earth
in truth
so that every soul
may be rewarded
for what it has earned
they will not be wronged
have you seen
those who treat
their urges as their gods
and God has
led them astray
in full knowledge
and set a seal upon
their hearing
and their hearts
and put a covering
over their eyes?
who will guide them
after God?
will you not remember?
they say
"There is nothing but
our present life
we die and we live
and nothing destroys us
apart from time"
they do not know that
they are only guessing
and when Our Signs
are read to them
Clear Signs
their only argument
is that they say
"Bring us our families
from before
if you speak the truth"
say
"God gives you life
then makes you die
then Hu will gather you
on the Day of Rising
of which there is no doubt
but most people
do not know"
to God belongs the Realm of
the heavens and the earth
and on the day when
the Hour is come
on that day
the liars will be the losers
you will see every nation
kneeling
every nation being
called to its Book
"Today you will be repaid
for what you were doing
this is Our Book
that speaks the truth
against you
We have been recording
everything you did"
and as for those
who have believed
and done what is right
their Liege will let them enter
into Hu's mercy
that is the clear victory
but as for those
who did not believe
"Were My Signs
not spoken to you?
and still you grew proud
and were a people
who did wrong"
and when it was said
"God's promise is true
and so is the Hour
there is no doubt of it"
you said
"We do not know
what the Hour may be
we have only wondered
and are not convinced
in any way"
and the evil deeds
that they have done
will appear to them
and they will be surrounded
by what they ridiculed
and it shall be said
"Today We do not forget you
the way that you forgot
the meeting of this
your day
and your place of safety
is the Fire
and you will have no helpers
that is because
you mocked God's Signs
and the present life
misled you"
so today they will not be
brought out from it
nor will they be allowed
to make up for what they did
so to God belongs praise
the Liege of the heavens
and the Liege of the earth
the Liege of
all the worlds
all greatness belongs to Hu
in the heavens and the earth
Hu is
the All-Powerful
the Wise
