By the Name
God
the Fount-of-All-Mercy
the Ever-Merciful
by the Mount
and a Book written
in a scroll unrolled
by the House visited
by the roof raised
by the ocean overflowing
surely the punishment
from your Liege
is about to fall
no one can turn it aside
on the day when heaven
sways to and fro
and the mountains move
woe that day
to those who call it lies
those who
amuse themselves
with idle play
the day when
they shall be thrown
into the flames of Hellfire
this is the fire
that you said was lies
so is this magic
or do you not see?
roast in it
and bear it patiently
or do not bear it patiently
it is the same for you
you are only being repaid
for what you did
surely those who are
Mindful of God
will be in
Gardens of Delight
rejoicing in what
their Liege has given them
and their Liege
will guard them against
the punishment of Hell
eat and drink
with good appetite
for what you were doing
lying on couches
set in rows
and We shall marry them
to wide-eyed partners
and those who believed
and their family
follow them in belief
We shall join
their family with them
and We will not cheat them
of their actions in any way
everyone is promised
what they earned
and We will feed them
with fruits and flesh
whatever they desire
while they pass a cup
to one another
with no foolish talk
no wrong doing
and young people
go around them
like hidden pearls
some of them
will come up to others
asking questions
they say
"Before
when we were
among our people
we were always afraid
and God showed grace to us
and guarded us
against the punishment
of the burning wind
before this
we were always
calling out to Hu
surely Hu is
the Doer-of-Good
the Ever-Merciful"
so remind them
by the blessing of your Liege
you do not tell the future
nor are you possessed
or do they say
"He is a poet
and we are waiting
for something bad
to happen to him?"
say
"Wait
I will be waiting with you"
or does their intelligence
tell them to do this?
are they a people
with no respect?
or do they say
"He has made it up?"
no
but they do not believe
then let them bring
speech like it
if what they say is true
or were they created
out of nothing?
or are they the creators?
or did they create
the heavens and the earth?
no
they have no sure belief
or do they own
the treasures of your Liege?
or do they have
control of them?
or do they have a ladder
from which they can listen?
then let any of them
that has listened
bring a clear authority
or has Hu daughters
and they have sons?
or do you ask them
for a wage
so they are
weighed down with debt?
or is the unseen
in their keeping
so they are writing it down?
or do they want to fool you?
it is those who are
ungrateful
who are being fooled
or do they have a god
other than God?
glory be to God
above those they set up
as partners with Hu
even if they saw
pieces of heaven
falling on them
they would say
"It is just banks of cloud"
so leave them
until they meet their day
in which they will be
struck down by the Blast
the day in which
their plots will be
of no use to them
and they will not be helped
and surely there is waiting
for those who do evil
a punishment
beyond all that
but most of them do not know
so wait patiently
for the judgement
of your Liege
surely
you are before Our eyes
and speak out
the praise of your Liege
when you rise
and praise Hu
in the night
and at the fading of the stars
