By the Name
God
the Fount-of-All-Mercy
the Ever-Merciful
all that is in
the heavens and the earth
glorifies God
Hu's is the Realm
Hu's is the Praise
and Hu is powerful
over everything
Hu created you
yet one of you is ungrateful
and one of you believes
and God sees
the things you do
Hu created
the heavens and the earth
with the truth
Hu shaped you
and shaped you well
and to Hu
is the homecoming
Hu knows whatever is in
the heavens and the earth
and Hu knows
what you hide
and what you show
God knows the thoughts
within the breast
has the news
not reached you
of those from before
who were ungrateful
then tasted the evil results
of what they did
but still there is
waiting for them
a painful punishment?
that is because
their Messengers
brought them
the Clear Signs
and they said
"Is a mortal
going to guide us?"
so they were ungrateful
and turned away
but God had
no need for them
and God is
Rich-beyond-Need
Most-Praiseworthy
those who are ungrateful
say that they
will never be raised up
say
"Yes indeed
by my Liege
you will be raised up
then you will be told
the things you did
that is easy for God"
so believe in God
and Hu's Messenger
and in the light
that We have sent down
and God is aware of
the things you do
on the day when
Hu will gather you
for the Day of Gathering
that will be
the Day of Profit and Loss
and whoever believes in God
and does what is right
God will wipe away
their evil deeds
and let them enter
gardens
beneath which rivers flow
to live there for ever
that is the mighty victory
but for those who are
ungrateful
and call Our Signs lies
they will be living in the Fire
living there for ever
an evil homecoming
no hardship happens
except by
the permission of God
whoever believes in God
Hu will guide their heart
and God has knowledge
of everything
and obey God
and obey the Messenger
but if you turn your backs
the Messenger only needs
to deliver the clear Message
God
there is no god but Hu
so in God
let those who believe
put their trust
you who believe
some of your partners
and children
are enemies to you
so beware of them
but if you pardon them
and overlook what they do
and forgive
surely God is
Most-Forgiving
Ever-Merciful
your wealth and children
are only a trial
and with God is
a mighty reward
so be Mindful of God
as much as you can
and listen and obey
and spend on
what is good for you
and whoever is guarded
against the meanness
inside themselves
they are the ones
who will be successful
and if you give
a good loan to God
Hu will multiply it for you
and will forgive you
God is
All-Thankful
Gentle
Hu knows
the unseen and the visible
the All-Powerful
the Wise
