God
the Fount-of-All-Mercy
the Ever-Merciful
you
who are cloaked
rise up and
warn
glorify
your Liege
purify
your clothes
and keep away
from what is filthy
do not give
only to get back more
and be patient
for your Liege
for when
the Trumpet sounds
that day
will be a hard day
not easy for those
who are ungrateful
leave Me alone
with those I created
giving them
great wealth
and children
standing with them
and made all things
smooth for them
and they are only eager
that I should do more
no
they stubbornly deny
Our Signs
I shall force them to climb
a steep slope
they planned
and they plotted
death seize them
how they plotted
again death seize them
how they plotted
then looked
then frowned
and scowled
then retreated
and grew proud
saying
"This is nothing but
made up sorcery
this is nothing but
the speech of a mortal"
I will surely roast them
in Saqar
and what will teach you
what is Saqar?
it does not spare
nor leave alone
scorching
mortal flesh
over it are
nineteen
We have put only Angels
as guardians of the Fire
and We have set their number
only as a trial
for those who are ungrateful
so those who were
given the Book
may be certain
and those who believe
may have more belief
and those who were
given the Book
and those who believe
might have no doubt
and so those
with sickness in their hearts
and those who are ungrateful
may say
"What did God mean
by this example"
so God leads astray
whoever Hu wills
and Hu guides
whoever Hu wills
and no-one knows
the armies of your Liege
except Hu
and it is nothing but
a Reminder
for mortals
no
by the moon
and the night
when it retreats
and the dawn
when it grows bright
surely it is one of
the greatest things
a warning
to mortals
to whoever of you wants
to go forward or hang back
every soul will be promised
what it has earned
except the
Companions of the Right
in gardens
they will ask
of those who
did wrong
"What pushed you
into Saqar?"
they shall say
"We did not make Sala
and we did not
feed the poor
and we gossiped
with those who gossip
and we said
the Day of Judgement
was lies
until what is certain
came to us"
then the pleas
of those who plead
will be of no use to them
what is their problem
that they run from
the Reminder
as if they were
frightened donkeys
running away
from a lion?
every one of them
wants to be given
an unrolled scroll
but they do not fear
the life to come
no indeed
surely it is a Reminder
so whoever wants to
shall remember it
and they will not remember
unless God wills
Hu has the right to
your being
Mindful of God
and the right to
offer forgiveness
