the Fount-of-All-Mercy
the Ever-Merciful
have you heard the story
of the covering?
on that day
faces will be shamed
working hard
tired out
roasting at
a scorching fire
drinking from
a boiling fountain
no food apart from
cactus thorns
which do not feed
or satisfy
on that day
happy faces
well pleased
with their efforts
in a wonderful Garden
hearing no idle gossip
in it a running fountain
and high couches
and goblets set out
and cushions arranged
and carpets spread
do they not wonder
how the camel
was created
how heaven
was lifted up
how the mountains
were raised
how the earth
was stretched out?
remind them
you are only a reminder
you are not
in charge of them
but whoever turns away
and is ungrateful
God will punish them with
the greatest punishment
truly to Us
they will return
and on Us will rest
their reckoning
