the truth
making clear

the Torah
and Gospel

as a guide
for humankind
and Hu sent down
the way to
understand
its meaning
as for those
who were
ungrateful
for
God's Signs
for them
is waiting
a terrible punishment
God is
All-Powerful
the Taker-of-Revenge
from God
nothing at all
is hidden
in earth
or
in heaven
it is Hu
gives you form
in the womb
as Hu wills
there is no god
if not Hu
the All-Powerful
the All-Wise
it is Hu
sent down on you
the Book
in which
are Clear Signs
that are
the Mother of the Book
and others
are not clear
as for those
in whose hearts is
turning away
they follow
what is not clear
wanting to cause
fighting
and wanting it
to be made clear
and no-one
can see it all clearly
only God
and those with
firm roots
in knowledge
say
"We believe in it
all of it
is from our Liege"
but no one remembers
except people
who can think
our Liege
do not make
our hearts turn away
after You have
guided us
and give us mercy
from You
You are the Giver
our Liege
it is You
that will gather
humankind
for a day
in which
is no doubt
truly
God
will not break
the promise
surely
those who are
ungrateful
neither
their riches
nor
their children
will help them at all
against
God
they will be
fuel for
the Fire
like the people of
Pharaoh
and the people
before them
who called
Our Signs
lies
God took them
because
they did wrong
God is fierce
in repayment
say to those
who are
ungrateful
"You will be overthrown
and gathered into
Hell"
a dreadful
final place
surely
there was
a Sign for you
in the two groups
who met one another
one party fighting
in the Way of God
and the other
ungrateful
they saw them
twice their number
as the eye sees
God
makes truth clear
with Hu's help
to whoever Hu wills
surely in that
is a lesson
for those who can see
made to look fair
to humankind
is the love of
passion
women and children
piled up heaps of
gold and silver
horses of mark
livestock
and rich farmlands
that is the
enjoyment
of the present life
but
God
with Hu is
the beautiful return
say
"Shall I tell you
of better than that?"
for those who are
Mindful of God
with their Liege
are gardens
beneath which
rivers flow
living there
forever
and pure partners
and God's good pleasure
and God sees
Hu's servants
those who say
"Our Liege
we believe
so forgive us
our wrong doing
and guard us
from the punishment
of the Fire"
those who are
patient
truthful
know how to obey
givers of charity
and those who
beg God's pardon
at break of day
God
witnesses
there is no god
apart from
Hu
as do
the Angels
and those who have
knowledge
and hold to
justice
there is no god
apart from
Hu
the All-Powerful
the All-Wise
surely
the Way of Life
with God
is
surrender
those who were
given the Book
did not differ
except after
the knowledge
came to them
insulting
one another
and whoever is
ungrateful
for God's Signs
God is quick
to take account
so if they argue with you
say
"I have
surrendered myself
to God
as have those
who follow me"
and say to those
who have been given
the Book
and to those
who have none
"Have you surrendered?"
if they have
surrendered themselves
to God
they are surely
truly guided
but if they turn away
it is only on you
to deliver the Message
and God sees
Hu's servants
those who are
ungrateful
for the Signs of God
and kill the Newsbringers
with no right to do so
and kill those
who call for justice
for humankind
give them
the good news
of a painful punishment
their actions
have failed
in this world
and the next
they have
no helpers
have you not seen
those who were given
a part of the Book
being invited
to let
the Book of God
decide between them
and a group of them
turned away
swerving
to one side
that is because
they said
"The Fire
shall not touch us
except for
a number of days"
and the lies
they invented
have led them astray
in their way of life
but how will it be
when We gather them
for a day
in which is no doubt
and every soul
will be paid in full
what it has earned
and they shall not
be wronged?
say
"O God
Monarch of the Realm
You give rule to
whoever You will
and take it back from
whoever You will
You raise up
whoever You will
and humble
whoever You will
in Your hand
is all good
You are powerful
over everything
You make the night
enter into the day
You make the day
enter into the night
You bring out
the living
from the dead
You bring out
the dead
from the living
and You provide for
whoever You will
without limit"
those who believe
should not take
those who are
ungrateful
as protectors
rather than
others who believe
whoever does that
is not with God
in anything
unless you are
Mindful of God
but afraid of them
God warns you
to beware of Hu
to God is
the homecoming
say
"Whether you hide
what is in
your breast
or make it known
God knows it"
God knows
what is in the heavens
and what is in the earth
God
is powerful
over everything
on the day
that every soul
shall find out
what good it has done
and shall find out
what it has done wrong
so it will wish there was
a great distance
between it and that
God warns you
to beware of Hu
and God is
Forgiving-by-Nature
with Hu's servants
say
"If you love God
then follow me
and God
will love you
and forgive you
your wrong doing"
God is
All-Forgiving
Most Merciful
say
"Obey God
and the Messenger"
but if they turn away
God does not love
those who are
ungrateful
God chose
Adam and Noah
and the family
of Abraham
and the family
of Imran
over all other beings
the descendants
of one another
God is
All-Hearing
All-Knowing
remember when
the wife of Imran
said
"My Liege
I have promised
to Your service
what is in my womb
receive this from me
You are
All-Hearing
All-Knowing"
then when she
gave birth to her
she said
"My Liege
I have given birth
to her
a female"
and God knew
very well
what she
gave birth to
the male
is not the same as
the female
"And I have named her
Mary
and placed her
and her children
in your protection
from
Satan
the rejected"
her Liege
received the child
with approval
and made her grow
in health and beauty
Zachariah
taking charge of her
and whenever Zachariah
visited her
in her safe space
he found that
she had food with her
he said
"Mary
how did you
get all this?"
she said
"It is from God
God provides
for whoever Hu wills
without limit"
then and there
Zachariah
prayed to his Liege
saying
"My Liege

from Your favour
good children

the hearer of prayers"
and the Angels

who will

the truth of

how shall I have a son
now I have reached old age
and my wife is barren?"

God gives you
good news of
a Word from Hu
his name is
the Messiah
Jesus
son of Mary
who will be
held in honour
in this world
and the next
and one of those
brought near
he shall speak
to people
from the cradle
and full grown
and he shall be
of those
who do good"
she said
"My Liege
how shall I have a son
when no man
has touched me?"
Hu said
"God creates
what Hu wills"
when Hu wills a thing
Hu just says to it
"Be"
and it is
and Hu will teach him
the Book
the Wisdom
the Torah and the Gospel
and he will be a Messenger
to the Tribe of Israel
saying

with God's permission

and I will tell you
what you eat
and what you store up

surely in that
is a Sign for you
if you are believers
"And I will
make clear
the truth of the Torah
that is before me
and make
lawful to you
some things that were
forbidden to you
before
I have come to you
with a Sign
from your Liege
so be Mindful of God
and obey me
surely
God
is my Liege
and your Liege
so serve Hu
this is
a straight path"
and when Jesus saw
they were ungrateful
he said
"Who will be
my helpers for God?"
the Followers said
"We will be
helpers for God
we believe in God
witness
our surrender
our Leige
we believe in
what You have sent down
and we follow
the Messenger
so write us down
among the witnesses"
and they planned
and God planned
and God is the best
of those who make plans
when Hu said
"Jesus
I will take you back
and raise you up to Me
and I will purify you
from those who are
ungrateful
and I will set
your followers
above the ungrateful
until the Day of Rising
then to Me you shall return
and I will judge
between you
as to the things
you disagreed on
as for those who were
ungrateful
I will punish them
with a terrible punishment
in this world
and the next
they shall have no helpers"
but as for those
who believe
and do good deeds
Hu will pay them
their wages
in full
God does not love
the unjust
that is what
We say to you
of Signs
and wise remembering
truly
in God's sight
the example of
Jesus
is like the example of
Adam
Hu created him
of dust
then Hu said to him
"Be"
and he was
the truth is from
your Liege
so do not be
among the doubters
and whoever
argues with you
about it
after the knowledge
that has come to you
say
"Come now
let us call
our sons
and your sons
our women
and your women
our selves
and your selves
then let us pray humbly
that God's curse
come down upon
the ones who lie"
this is the true story
there is no god
apart from God
and surely God is
the All-Powerful
the All-Wise
and if they turn away
be sure God knows
the ones who
spread sickness
say
"People of the Book
come now to a word
that is the same
for us and you
that we serve
no-one but God
and that
we do not partner
any other
with Hu
and do not some of us
take others as Liege
apart from God?"
and if they turn away
say
"Bear witness
that we are surrendered"
People of the Book
why do you argue
about Abraham
when the Torah
and the Gospel
were only sent down
after him
have you no understanding?
you are the ones
who argue about
what you know
why then do you argue
about something
of which
you do not know anything?
God knows
and you do not
no
Abraham
in truth
was not a Jew
nor was he a Christian
but he was surrendered
one of pure faith
not one of those
who worship idols
surely the people
closest to Abraham
are those who
followed him
as well as this Newsbringer
and those who believe
and God is
the Protecting-Friend
of those who believe
there is a group
of the
People of the Book
who want to make you
lose your way
but they make no-one
take the wrong way
except themselves
and they are
not aware
People of the Book
why do you not
believe in God's Signs
when you yourselves
are witnesses
People of the Book
why do you mix up
what is true
and what is false
and hide the truth
when you know it
there is a group
of the
People of the Book
who say
at the beginning of the day
"Believe in what has
been sent down
to those who believe"
then at the end of the day
reject it
so that hopefully
they will also
turn away from it
and do not believe anyone
except one who follows
your Way of Life
say
"True guiding
is God's guiding
you think that no-one
could be given
the like of what
you have been given?
or argue with you
before your Liege?"
say
"Surely bounty
is in the hand of God
Hu gives it to
whoever Hu wills"
and God is
All-Embracing
All-Knowing
Hu chooses
for Hu's mercy
whoever Hu wills
God is mighty in bounty
and of the
People of the Book
there are those
who if you trust them
with a heap of gold
will return it to you
but among them
there are others
who if you trust them
with one dinar
will not return it to you
unless you constantly
stand over them
that is because
they say
"The uneducated
have no way
over us"
they speak lies
about God
and know it
but those who
keep their promises
and are
Mindful of God
God loves
those who are
Mindful of God
and for
those who sell
their agreement with God
and their promises
for a little price
there will be
no share for them
in the world to come
God will not speak to them
nor look on them
on the Day of Rising
nor will Hu make them pure
for them is waiting
a painful punishment
and there is
a group of them
who read the Book
with twisted tongues
so you may think
it is
part of the Book
but it is not
part of the Book
and they say
it is from God
but it is not from God
and they speak
lies against God
and they know it
it is not
for any mortal
that God should
give them
the Book
the Judgement
and the Message
and then for them
to say to people
"Be servants to me
in preference to God"
rather they would say
"Be devoted to God
because you know the Book
and because you study"
they would never order you
to take the Angels
and the Newsbringers
as Liege
would Hu command you
to disbelieve
after you have surrendered?
and remember when God
made an agreement
with the Newsbringers
"I have given you
the Book
and the Wisdom
and there shall come
to you
a Messenger
making clear
the truth
of what is with you
you shall believe in him
and you shall help him
do you agree?"
Hu said
"And do you take
the load I put on you
on that condition?"
they said
"We do agree"
Hu said
"Bear witness then
I am with you
as one of
the witnesses"
then
whoever
turns away
after that
they are the ones
who act wickedly
do they want
another Way of Life
apart from God's
when to Hu surrender
all beings in
the heavens and the earth
willingly or unwillingly
and to Hu
they shall be returned?
say
"We believe in God
and what has been
sent down to us
and sent down to
Abraham and Ishmael
Isaac and Jacob
and the Tribes
and in what was given to
Moses and Jesus
and the Newsbringers
of their Liege
we make no division
between any of them
and to Hu we surrender"
whoever wants
a Way of Life
other than
surrender
it will not
be accepted of them
in the next world
they will be
among the losers
how will God guide
a people
who are ungrateful
after they have believed
and witnessed
that the Messenger is true
and the Clear Signs
came to them?
God does not guide
those who are
wrong doers
those
their reward will be
that they shall feel
the rejection of God
and of the Angels
and of humankind
all together
there they will live
forever
the punishment
will not be made
lighter for them
no rest will be
given to them
except for those
who beg forgiveness
after what they have done
and make things right again
God is
Most-Forgiving
Ever-Merciful
surely
those who are
ungrateful
after they have believed
and then become
more ungrateful
their sorrow
will not be
accepted
those are the ones
who have taken
the wrong way
surely
those who are
ungrateful
and die ungrateful
there will not be accepted
from any of them
even
the whole earth
full of gold
if they try
to ransom themselves
for them is waiting
a painful punishment
and they will have
no helpers
you will not achieve
true goodness
until you give
from what you love
and whatever you give
God knows it
all food was legal
for the Tribe of Israel
except what Israel
made illegal
for itself
before
the Torah
was sent down
say
"Bring the Torah now
and read it
if you tell the truth"
whoever
makes up lies
against God
after that
they are
the wrong doers
say
"God has spoken
the truth
so follow
the Way of Abraham
a man of pure belief
who would not
set up partners with God"
the first House
to be set in place
for humankind
was that at Bakka
blessed
a guide
for all beings
in it are
Clear Signs
the place of
Abraham
whoever
enters it is safe
Hajj to the House
is owed to God
by humankind
those who can find
a way to do it
as for the ungrateful
God is
Rich-beyond-Need
of anyone
say
"People of the Book
why be ungrateful
for the Signs of
God?
surely God is
witness of
the things you do"
say
"People of the Book
why do you bar
the one who believes
from God's Way
wanting
to make it
crooked
when you
yourselves
were witnesses?
God does not
ignore
the things you do"
you who believe
if you did
what you were told
by a group of those
who have been given
the Book
they would turn you away
after you have believed
once more to be
ungrateful
how can you be
ungrateful
when you have
God's Signs
spoken to you
and Hu's Messenger
among you?
whoever
holds fast to God
is guided to
a straight path
you who believe
be Mindful of God
truly
as you should be
Mindful
and do not die
unless you have
surrendered to God
and cling firmly
to God's rope
together
and do not divide
remember
God's blessing on you
when you were enemies
and Hu
brought your hearts
together
so that
by Hu's blessing
you became siblings
you were on the brink
of a pit of Fire
and Hu
saved you from it
in that way
God makes clear
to you
Hu's Signs
so
hopefully
you might be guided
let there be
a people
among you
calling to good
urging to do right
and forbidding
doing wrong
those are
the ones who
prosper
do not be
like those who
split up
and fell into
arguments
after the Clear Signs
came to them
for them
there is waiting
a mighty punishment
the day
when some faces
are brightened
and some faces
are darkened
as for those
whose faces
are darkened
"Did you become
ungrateful
after
you had believed?
then taste the punishment
for being ungrateful"
as for those
whose faces
are brightened
they shall be
in God's mercy
living there forever
these are
the Signs of God
We say to you
in truth
God does not want
injustice
in the worlds
to God belongs
all that is in
the heavens
and the earth
and to Hu
everything
returns
you are
the best community
ever brought out
for humankind
urging
to do good
and forbidding
doing wrong
and believing in God
had the
People of the Book
believed
it would be
better for them
some of them
are believers
but most of them
act wickedly
they will not
hurt you
except a little hurt
and if they fight with you
they will
turn their backs
on you
they will not be helped
they will be
made low
humbled
wherever they are found
unless they have
an agreement
with God
and an agreement
with humankind
they will carry
the weight of
God's anger
and be made poor
because they have been
ungrateful for God's Signs
and killed
the Newsbringers
with no right
and because
they disobeyed
and went beyond
the limits
but they are not
all the same
some of
the People of the Book
are those
who are honourable
that read God's Signs
during the night
and make Sajda
they believe in God
and the Last Day
urging
to do good
and forbidding
doing wrong
competing
with each other
in good deeds
those are
the honourable ones
and whatever good
they do
they will not be kept
from its reward
and God knows
those who are
Mindful of God
as for those who are
ungrateful
neither their riches
nor their children
will help them
against God
those are the ones
who will live in the Fire
and live in there
forever
the example
of what they spend
in this life
is the example of
a freezing wind
that strikes the crops
of a people
who did wrong
for themselves
and it destroyed them
God did not
do wrong to them
they did wrong
to themselves
you who believe
do not take anyone
from outside
your community
as close friends
such people
will do anything
to ruin you
they long for you
to suffer
hatred has come
out of their mouths
and what is hidden
in their breast
is even greater
now We have
made clear to you
the Signs
if you understand
there you are
loving them
and they do not
love you
you believe in the Book
all of it
and when they meet you
they say
"We believe"
but when they are alone
they bite their fingers
in rage
say
"Die in your rage"
God knows
the thoughts
within the breast
if something good
happens to you
it annoys them
but if
something bad
happens to you
they are happy
but if you are patient
and
Mindful of God
their plotting
will not hurt you
in any way
God surrounds
the things they do
when you went out
at dawn
from your family
to set the believers
in their battle stations
God is
All-Hearing
All-Knowing
and when
two groups of you
were about to
lose heart
though God was
their Protector
in God
let the believers
put all their trust
and God helped you
at Badr
when you were
very weak
so be
Mindful of God
and hopefully
you might be
thankful
when you said
to the believers
"Is it not
enough for you
that your Liege
would reinforce you
with
three thousand Angels
sent down for you?"
yes
if you are patient
and
Mindful of God
and the enemy
attack you suddenly
your Liege
will reinforce you
with
five thousand Angels
swooping down
God only did this
to bring you
good news
and so that
your hearts
could be at rest
help comes
only from
God
the All-Powerful
the All-Wise
so that Hu
might cut off
a group of those
who are ungrateful
or crush them
so they
might turn back
in defeat
it is not for you
to decide
if Hu turns to them
in forgiveness
or punishes them
for they are unjust
to God belongs
all that is in
the heavens and the earth
Hu forgives
whoever Hu wills
and punishes
whoever Hu wills
God is
Most-Forgiving
Ever-Merciful
you who believe
do not feed off
usury
doubled
and redoubled
be Mindful of God
so that hopefully
you will be successful
and fear the Fire
made ready
for the ungrateful
and obey God
and the Messenger
so hopefully
you will find mercy
and race
with one another
for forgiveness
from your Liege
and to a garden
as wide as
the heavens and the earth
made ready
for those who are
Mindful of God
those who give
in times of wealth
and also
times of hardship
and control
their anger
and forgive the wrongs
of other people
and God loves
those who do good
who
when they do
something shameful
or wrong themselves
remember God
and beg forgiveness
for doing wrong
and who shall
forgive wrong doing
apart from God?
and who do not
keep on doing
the things they did
knowingly
those
their reward is
forgiveness
from their Liege
and gardens
beneath which
rivers flow
to live there
forever
how excellent is
the reward of those
who make the effort
whole cultures
have passed away
before you
journey in the land
and see
how was the end
of those who said
this was lies
this is
a clear explanation
for humankind
a guide
and a warning
for those who are
Mindful of God
do not give up
and do not feel sorrow
you shall be
raised above them
if you are believers
if you get a wound
then they will have had
a wound like it
We deal out such days
to humankind
turn by turn
so that God may know
who are the believers
and so Hu may take
witnesses
from among you
and God does not love
those who are unjust
and so that God
may prove
those who believe
and wipe away
those who are
ungrateful
or did you think
you would enter
Paradise
without God knowing
who has struggled
and who is patient?
you were
longing for death
before you met it
now you have seen it
with your own eyes
Muhammad
is only a Messenger
Messengers
have passed away
before him
if he were to die
or be killed
would you
turn on your heels?
if anyone
turns on their heels
they will not
harm God
in any way
and God will
reward those
who are thankful
it is not possible
for anyone to die
except by
God's permission
at a certain time
whoever wants
the reward of
this world
We will give it to them
and whoever wants
the reward of
the next world
We will give that to them
and We will reward
the thankful
how many a Newsbringer
there has been
alongside whom
a great many have fought
they did not lose heart
under what attacked them
on God's Way
they did not weaken
or give in
and God loves
the patient
they only said
"Our Liege
forgive us
our bad deeds
and when we went
beyond the limits
and make our feet firm
and help us
against those who are
ungrateful"
and God gave them
the reward of this world
and the fairest reward
of the world to come
and God loves
those who do good
you who believe
if you obey
those who are
ungrateful
they will turn you
around on your heels
and you will be
turned into
losers
no
God
is your Protector
and Hu is
the best of helpers
We will put
terror
into the hearts
of those who are
ungrateful
because they
set up partners
with God
for which
Hu sent down
no authority
their home will be
the Fire
dreadful is the home
of those who do wrong
God has been true
in Hu's promise to you
when you destroyed
the enemy
with Hu's permission
until you lost heart
and argued
about the order
and disobeyed
after Hu had shown you
what you longed for
there are some of you
that want this world
and some of you
that want the next world
then Hu turned you
away from them
so Hu might try you
and Hu has forgiven you
and God is generous
to those who believe
when you ran away
not turning round
for anyone
and the Messenger
was calling you
from behind you
Hu rewarded you with
misery on misery
so you might not
just feel sorrow
for what you
could not capture
or what befell you
and God is aware of
the things you do
then Hu sent down on you
after sadness
safety
a group of you
being overtaken by sleep
though another group
suffered from
anxious thoughts
thinking of God
what was not true
thoughts belonging to
the Time of Ignorance
saying
"Do we have any say
in what happens at all?"
say
"What happens
is up to God entirely"
they were hiding
in their hearts
what they do not
show to you
saying
"If we had only had
a say in the matter
none of us
would have been
killed here"
say
"Even if
you had been in
your houses
those who were
destined to be killed
would have gone to
their final resting places
so God might test
what was in your breast
and that Hu might prove
what was in your hearts"
and God knows
the thoughts
within the breast
those of you
who turned away
on the day that
the two armies
met in battle
Satan made them slip
for what they had done
but God has
pardoned them
God is
Most-Forgiving
Gentle
you who believe
do not be
like those who are
ungrateful
who say about their brothers
when they journeyed
in the land
or fought in battles
"If they had only
been with us
they would not have died
or been killed"
God makes that
a reason for
suffering
in their hearts
God gives life
and Hu makes to die
and God sees
the things you do
if you are killed
or die in God's Way
forgiveness
and
mercy
from God
are better than
anything you can gather
surely
if you die
or are killed
it is to
God
you will be
gathered
it was by
mercy of God
that you were
gentle to them
had you been rough
or hard of heart
they would have
scattered
from around you
so pardon them
and beg forgiveness
for them
and talk with them
about the matter
and when
you have decided
put your trust in God
surely God loves
those who
give Hu their trust
if God helps you
no-one
can overcome you
but if Hu
takes away from you
then who can help you
apart from Hu?
so let those who believe
put all their trust in God
it is not for a Newsbringer
to cheat others
whoever cheats others
will bring what they
have gained from cheating
on the Day of Rising
then every soul
will be paid in full
what it has earned
and they will not be wronged
is the one who is
trying to gain
God's pleasure
like the one who is
weighed down
with God's anger
and whose shelter is
Hellfire
a dreadful home?
they are in
different standings
with God
and God sees
the things they do
truly
God showed great kindness
to the believers
when Hu raised up
among them
a Messenger
from themselves
to speak to them
Hu's Signs
and to make them pure
and to teach them
the Book and the Wisdom
though before that
they were
clearly in error
and when disaster
comes upon you
when you have already
done twice as much to them
did you say
"How could this happen?"
say
"This is from yourselves"
surely God is
powerful
over everything
what happened
to you
the day
the two armies
met in battle
was by
God's
permission
so that
Hu
might know
the ones who believe
and that
Hu
might know
the ones who pretend
when it was said to them
"Come
fight

those who trade belief
for being ungrateful
will not hurt

ungrateful
should not think
that the extra time
We give them
is better for them
We give them

so they will
increase
in wrong doing
and there waits
for them
a shameful punishment
God will not leave
those who believe
in the state in which
you are now

sorts out
the rotten
from the good
and God will not
show you
what is hidden
but God chooses
out of
Hu's Messengers
whoever
Hu wills
so believe in
God
and Hu's Messengers
and if you believe

there will be
for you
a mighty reward
but as for those
who are mean
with the bounty
God has given them
do not let them
think it is better
for them
no
it is worse for them
what they held back
being mean
will be hung
around their necks
on the Day of Rising
it is God
who will inherit
the heavens
and the earth
and God is
aware of
the things you do
God has heard
the words of those
who said
"Surely
God is poor
and we are rich"
We shall write down
what they have said
and their killing
the Newsbringers
without right
and
We shall say
"Taste the punishment
of the Burning"
that is for what
your own hands
have stored up
because
God
is never unjust
to Hu's servants
those who said
"God has made
an agreement
with us
that we do not believe
any Messenger
until he brings us
a sacrifice
eaten up
by fire"
say
"Messengers
have come to you
before me
bringing Clear Signs
from what you say
so why did you kill them
if you speak
the truth?"
but if they
call you a liar
Messengers
before you
who came with
Clear Signs
and the Psalms
and the
Book that gives Light
were also
called liars
every soul
will taste death
you will surely be paid
your wages in full
on the
Day of Rising
whoever is
taken away from
the Fire
and entered into
Paradise
will have
won victory
the present life
is just
the enjoyment of
a dream
you will be tested
by what you own
and in yourselves
and from those
who were given
the Book
before you
and from those who
give partners to God
you will hear
much that hurts you
but if you are patient
and
Mindful of God
that is the best way
and God made
an agreement
with those
who had been given
the Book
"You shall make it clear
to humankind
and not hide it"
but they threw it away
behind their backs
and sold it for
a small price
what a bad sale they made
do not think
that those who are happy
with what they have done
and love to be praised
for what they have not done
will be safe
from the punishment
for them
is waiting
a painful punishment
to God belongs
control
of the heavens
and of the earth
and God is
powerful
over everything
surely
in the creation of
the heavens and the earth
and in the changing
of the night and day
there are Signs
for those
who understand
those who remember
God
when standing
and sitting
and lying on their sides
and think about
the creation
of the heavens
and the earth
"Our Liege
You have not
created this
for nothing
glory be to You
protect us from
the punishment of
the Fire
our Liege
whoever You throw
into the Fire
You will have covered
with shame
and those who do wrong
will have no helpers
our Liege
we have heard a caller
calling us to believe
saying
'Believe in your Liege'
and we believe
our Liege
forgive us
our wrongs
and wipe away
our bad deeds
and take us to You
with those who are
truly good
our Liege
give us
what You have
promised us
by Your Messengers
and do not
cover us with shame
on the Day of Rising
You do not break
Your promise"
and their Liege
answers them
"I do not
waste the efforts
of any one of you
male or female
the one of you
is as the other
and those who
made the Hijra
and were driven from
their homes
and suffered harm
in My Way
and fought and were killed
I will wipe away
what they have done wrong
and let them enter
gardens
underneath which
rivers flow"
a reward from God
and with God
with Hu
is the fairest reward
do not be deceived
that those who are
ungrateful
go to and fro in the land
a little enjoyment
then their shelter
will be Hell
a dreadful resting place
but those who are
Mindful of God
their Liege
for them shall be
gardens
underneath which
rivers flow
to live there
forever
a welcome from God
and what is with God
is better
for those who are
truly good
and there are some of
the People of the Book
who believe in God
and what has been
sent down to you
and what has been
sent down to them
people who are not
proud before God
who do not sell
the Signs of God
for a small price
their reward
is with their Liege
God
is quick
to take account
you who believe
be patient
and be the best
in patience
and be ready
and
Mindful of God
so that hopefully
you will be
successful
