God
the Fount-of-All-Mercy
the Ever-Merciful
Ha Mim
Ain Sin Qaf
in this way
is revealed to you
and to those before you
God
the All-Powerful
the Wise
to Hu belongs
whatever is in
the heavens
and whatever is in
the earth
and Hu is
the Highest
the All-Mighty
the heavens are almost
torn apart above them
when the Angels call out
the praise of their Liege
and ask forgiveness
for those on earth
God
Hu is
the Most-Forgiving
the Ever-Merciful
as for those who take
other than Hu
as protector
God takes care of them
you are not their guardian
and so
We have revealed to you
an Arabic Reading
so you may warn
the Mother of Cities
and those who live nearby
and so you may warn of
the Day of Gathering
in which there is no doubt
one group
in the Garden
one group
in the Blazing Flame
if God had willed
Hu would have made them
one community
but Hu allows
whoever Hu wills
into Hu's mercy
and those who are unjust
will have no protector
and no helper
have they taken
other than Hu
as protectors?
God
Hu is
the Protector
Hu gives life to the dead
Hu has power over
everything
and as for whatever
you disagree on
the judgement on it
rests with God
"That is God
my Liege
in Hu I put my trust
and to Hu I turn
asking forgiveness
the Creator of
the heavens and the earth"
Hu has made you pairs
from among yourselves
and pairs of the livestock
to multiply you
nothing is like Hu
Hu is
the All-Hearing
the All-Seeing
to Hu belong the keys of
the heavens and the earth
Hu spreads out
and holds back
whatever Hu provides
to whoever Hu wills
surely Hu has
knowledge of everything
Hu has set out for you
as your Way of Life
the same as
Hu gave to Noah
and as We have
revealed to you
and as We gave to
Abraham
Moses and Jesus
live that Way of Life
and do not become divided
within it
what you call them to
is hard for those
who give partners to God
God chooses for Hu
whoever Hu wills
for Hu
and Hu guides
to Hu
whoever turns
in sorrow
they did not split up
until after
knowledge came to them
showing no respect
for each other
and if not for a Word
from your Liege
that came before
with a decided time
it would have been
decided between them
but those who
receive the Book
handed down to them
afterwards
they are in doubt about it
uncertain
so call out
and go straight
as you have been told
do not follow their wishes
and say
"I believe in a Book
that God has sent down
I have been ordered
to be just between you
God is our Liege
and your Liege
we have what we do
and you have what you do
there is no argument
between us and you
God shall bring us together
and to Hu
is the homecoming"
and those who
argue about God
once they have
recognised Hu
their arguments
mean nothing to their Liege
there is anger on them
and there waits for them
a terrible punishment
it is God
Hu has sent down
the Book
with the Truth
and the Balance
and what will
make you realise?
perhaps the Hour is near
those who do not believe in it
try to hurry it along
but those who believe in it
are afraid of it
knowing that it is the truth
certainly
those who are
in doubt about the Hour
are far astray
God is
All-Subtle
to Hu's servants
and provides for
whoever Hu wills
Hu is
the Tireless
the All-Powerful
whoever wants a harvest
in the world to come
We will give them
increase in their harvest
and whoever wants
the harvest of this world
We shall give them some of it
but in the world to come
they will have no share
or do they have
partner-gods
who have set out for them
a way of life
for which God did not
give permission?
were it not for the
Word of Decision
made before
the judgement
between them
would have been made
for those who are unjust
there is waiting
a painful punishment
you see those who are unjust
going in fear
of what they have earned
that is about to fall
on top of them
but those who believe
and do good deeds
are in flowering meadows
of the Gardens
whatever they want
they shall have
with their Liege
that is the great reward
that is the good news
God gives
to Hu's servants
who believe
and do good deeds
say
"I do not ask for
a wage from you
for this
only that you love
those close to you"
and whoever does
a good deed
We will give them
more good
on top of that
surely God is
Most-Forgiving
All-Thankful
or do they say
"He has made up
a lie about God"?
if God wills
Hu will seal up your heart
and God blots out
the false
and confirms
the truth
by Hu's words
Hu knows the thoughts
within the breast
Hu accepts
heartfelt sorrow
from Hu's servants
and forgives
evil deeds
Hu knows
the things you do
Hu answers
those who believe
and do good deeds
Hu gives them
more of Hu's favour
and for those who are
ungrateful
there is waiting
a terrible punishment
if God increased
what Hu gives
to Hu's servants
they would have been
unjust in the earth
but Hu sends down
whatever Hu wills
in careful measure
surely
over Hu's servants
Hu is Aware
and Hu Sees
Hu sends down the rain
after they have lost all hope
and Hu unfolds
Hu's mercy
Hu is
the Protecting-Friend
the Most-Praiseworthy
and of Hu's Signs
is the creation of
the heavens and the earth
and the living creatures
Hu has scattered
around in them
and Hu can
gather them together
whenever Hu wills
whatever difficulty
might visit you
is for what
your own hands earn
and Hu pardons much
you cannot escape Hu
anywhere on earth
apart from God
you have
no protector
no helper
and of Hu's Signs
are the ships
that run on the sea
like distant mountains
and if Hu wills
Hu stills the wind
and they stay
without moving
on its back
surely in that are Signs
for everyone that is
patient and thankful
or Hu wrecks them
for what they have earned
and Hu pardons much
so those who argue
about Our Signs
may know
that they have
no safe place
to escape to
whatever
you have been given
is the enjoyment of
the present life
but what is with God
is better
and lasts longer
for those who believe
and trust their Liege
those who avoid
the worst of actions
and foul deeds
and when
they are angry
forgive
those who answer
their Liege
and make the Sala
consulting each other
about things
and spend from
what We have
provided for them
those who
when they are wronged
defend themselves
and the reward of evil
is an evil like it
but whoever forgives
and puts things right
their wage is with God
Hu does not love
those who are unjust
and whoever takes their due
after being wronged
there is no cause
to act against them
there is only cause
to act against those
who do wrong to humankind
and act as tyrants in the land
there is waiting for them
a painful punishment
but the one who
suffers with patience
and forgives
follows the fairest path
whoever God leads to
the wrong way
after that has no protector
and you shall see
those who do evil
when they see
the punishment
saying
"Is there any way
to be sent back?"
and you shall see them
as they are shown it
shamed and humbled
sneaking glances
around them
and those who believe
will say
"Surely the losers
are those who lose
themselves and their families
on the Day of Rising
surely those who do evil
are in lasting punishment
they have no protectors
to help them
apart from God
and whoever
God leads astray
has no way"
answer your Liege
before there comes
a day from God
that cannot be
turned back
on that day
you will have
no hiding place
no way of denying
but if they turn away
We did not send you
to be a guardian over them
it is only for you
to deliver the Message
when We let humans
taste mercy from Us
they are joyful in it
but if some evil
happens to them
for what
their own hands
have done
then humans are
ungrateful
to God belongs the Realm of
the heavens and the earth
Hu creates what Hu wills
Hu gives
to whoever Hu wills
females
and Hu gives
to whoever Hu wills
males
or Hu couples them
both males and females
and Hu makes
whoever Hu wills
barren
surely Hu is
All-Knowing
All-Capable
it is not possible
that God speak
to any mortal
except by revelation
or from behind a veil
or that Hu should send
a Messenger
who reveals
whatever Hu wills
by Hu's permission
surely Hu is
Highest
Wise
and so
We have revealed to you
a spirit of Our command
you did not know
what the Book was
nor what to believe
but We made it a light
by which We guide
whoever We will
of Our servants
and you will surely
guide to a straight path
the path of God
to Whom belongs
whatever is in the heavens
and whatever is in the earth
to God
all things come home
