God
the Fount-of-All-Mercy
the Ever-Merciful
by the Scatterers scattering
and the load bearers
and the smooth runners
and those who share out
the command
what you are promised
is certainly true
the Judgement
is about to fall
by heaven
with all its pathways
surely you speak
with different opinions
whoever is
turned away from it
is turned away
let them die
those who guess
who are dazed and confused
asking
"When will it be
the Day of Judgement?"
on the day
when they will be
tried at the Fire
"Taste your trial
this is what you were
trying to hurry along"
those who are
Mindful of God
will be amidst gardens
and fountains
taking whatever
their Liege has given them
they did what was right
before that
they had rested little
during the night
and in the mornings
they would ask for
forgiveness
and they would give
the beggar and the outcast
a share of their wealth
in the earth are Signs
for those who are certain
and in your selves
do you not see?
and in heaven
is your providing
and what you are promised
so by the Liege
of heaven and earth
it is surely true
just as you have speech
have you heard the story of
the honoured guests
of Abraham?
when they entered his house
and said
"Peace"
he said
"Peace
you are people
I do not know"
then he went to his people
and brought a fattened calf
and he set it before them
saying
"Will you not eat?"
then he became
afraid of them
they said
"Do not be afraid"
and they gave him
the good news
of a son to come
gifted with knowledge
then his wife came forward
crying out
and striking her face
saying
"But I am barren
an old woman"
they said
"That is
the Word of your Liege
Hu is
the All-Wise
the All-Knowing"
he said
"What is your business
messengers?"
they said
"We have been sent
to a people who do evil
to shower them with
stones of clay
marked by your Liege
for those who go
beyond all limits"
so We brought out
from there
those who believed
but We did not find any
except one house
of those who had
surrendered
and there We left a Sign
for those who are afraid
of the painful punishment
and also in Moses
when We sent him
to Pharaoh
with a clear authority
but he turned his back
with his court
saying
"A sorcerer
a man possessed"
so We seized him
and his army
and We threw them
into the sea
and he was to blame
and in Ad
when we sent against them
the life destroying wind
that left nothing it touched
without leaving it as dust
and in Thamood
when it was said to them
"Take your enjoyment
for a while"
but they turned against
the command
of their Liege
and the blast took them
while they watched
and they could not
stand upright
and were not helped
and the people of Noah
from before
surely they were
a wicked people
and heaven
We built it
with great power
and We made it wide
and the earth
We spread it out
how well We smoothed it
and of everything
We created pairs
so hopefully
you remember
run away to God
I am a clear warner
from Hu to you
and do not set up
another god with God
I am a clear warner
from Hu to you
even so
not a Messenger came
to those before them
without them saying
"A sorcerer
a man possessed"
did they tell
one another
to do this?
no
they are a people
who have no respect
so turn away from them
you are not to blame
and remind them
for truly
the Reminder
is good for
those who believe
I have not created
jinn and humans
for anything except
to serve Me
I do not want them
to provide for Me
I do not want them
to feed Me
surely God is
the All-Provider
the Holder-of-Power
the Strong
surely
those who do evil
shall have their share
like the share of
their companions
so do not let them
hurry Me
and so
woe to
those who are
ungrateful
for that day of theirs
they are promised
