the heavens and the earth
glorifies God

to Hu belongs the Realm of
the heavens and the earth
Hu gives life

and Hu is powerful
over everything
Hu is
the First and the Last
the Visible and the Hidden
Hu has knowledge
of everything
it is Hu created
the heavens and the earth
in six days
then sat upon the Throne
Hu knows
what goes into the earth
and what comes out of it
what comes down
from heaven
and what goes up into it
Hu is with you
wherever you are
and God sees
the things you do
to Hu belongs the Realm of
the heavens and the earth
and to Hu everything returns
Hu makes the night
enter into the day
and makes the day
enter into the night
Hu knows the thoughts
within the breast
believe in God
and Hu's Messenger
and spend from what Hu has
passed down to you
and those of you
who believe and spend
will have a mighty reward
how is it with you
that you do not
believe in God
when the Messenger calls you
to believe in your Liege?
and Hu has taken
your solemn promise
if you believe
it is Hu sends down Signs
upon Hu's servant
Clear Signs
so Hu may bring you out
from the shadows
into the light
surely God is
Forgiving-by-Nature
Ever-Merciful
to you
how is it with you
that you do not spend
in the Way of God
and to God belongs
whatever is left of
the heavens and the earth?
those among you
who spent and fought
before the victory
are not equal
but higher in rank
than those
who spent and fought
afterwards
and to each
God has promised
the reward most fair
and God is aware
of the things you do
who will lend to God
a good loan?
Hu will multiply it for them
and they shall have
a generous reward
on the day when you see
those who believe
both men and women
their light streaming out
in front of them
and to their right
"Good news for you today
gardens beneath which
rivers flow
there to live forever
that is the mighty triumph"
on the day when those
who pretend to believe
both men and women
will say to those
who have believed
"Wait for us
so we may
borrow your light"
it will be said
"Go back
and look for a light"
and a wall
shall be set up
between them
having a door
inside which is mercy
and outside which is
punishment
they will call out to them
"Were we not with you?"
they shall say
"Yes indeed
but you let yourself
be tempted
and you waited
and you were in doubt
and your urges deceived you
until God's command came
and the Deceiver
deceived you
about God
so no ransom
will be accepted
from you today
nor from those
who were ungrateful
your shelter is the Fire
that is your owner
an evil homecoming"
is it not time
for the hearts
of those who believe
to be humble
remembering God
and the truth
Hu has sent down
and that they should not be
like those to whom
the Book was given before
when the time seemed
too long for them
so their hearts became hard
and many of them
were wicked?
know that God
brings the earth to life
after it is dead
We have made the Signs
clear to you
so hopefully
you will understand
surely those
who give in charity
both men and women
and have lent God
a good loan
it will be multiplied for them
and they shall have
a generous reward
and those who
believe in God
and Hu's Messengers
are honest people
and martyrs
in the sight of their Liege
they have their reward
and their light
and those who are
ungrateful
who called Our Signs lies
they are
the companions of
Hellfire
know that the present life
is just a game
and an amusement
and a decoration
and a cause for boasting
among you
and rivalry in wealth
and children
it is like what grows
after the rain
pleasing those who are
ungrateful
until it withers
and you see it turning yellow
then it becomes
broken stubble
and in the world to come
there is terrible punishment
and forgiveness from God
and good pleasure
and the present life
is only the joy
of what is not real
so race for forgiveness
from your Liege
and a Garden
as wide as
heaven and earth
made ready for those
who believe in God
and Hu's Messenger
that is God's bounty
Hu gives it
to whoever Hu wills
and God's bounty
is mighty indeed
no misfortune can happen
in the earth or in yourselves
but it is in a Book
before We create it
that is easy for God
so do not be sad
for what passes you by
or take too much pleasure
in what comes to you
God does not love
those who are
proud and boasting
those who are mean
and tell others to be mean
and whoever turns away
God is
Rich-beyond-Need
the Most-Praiseworthy
We sent Our Messengers
with the Clear Signs
and We sent down with them
the Book
and the Balance
so humankind
might stand for justice
and We sent down iron
in which is great strength
and many uses
for humankind
so that God might know
who helps Hu
and Hu's messengers
in the unseen
surely God is
Tireless
All-Powerful
and We sent Noah
and Abraham
and We gave
Newsbringers and the Book
to their families that followed
and some of them
are guided
but many of them
are wicked
then We sent following them
Messengers
and sent following them
Jesus son of Mary
and gave him the Gospel
and We set in the hearts
of those who followed him
tenderness and mercy
and they invented
monasteries
We did not tell them to
it was just in search of
God's good pleasure
but they did not do it
as it should have been done
so We gave
those of them
who believed
their reward
but many of them
were wicked
you who believe
be Mindful of God
and believe in
Hu's Messenger
and Hu will give you
a double portion
of Hu's mercy
and Hu will give you
a light
by which you shall walk
and forgive you
God is
Most-Forgiving
Ever-Merciful
so the People of the Book
may know that
they have no power
over any of God's bounty
and that bounty is in
the hand of God
Hu gives it to
whoever Hu wills
and God's bounty
is immense
