the Fount-of-All-Mercy
the Ever-Merciful
have humans
ever known a time
when they were not
thought about?
We created humans
of a drop of liquid
mixed together
testing them
and We made them
hearing and seeing
surely We guided them
on the way
whether they are thankful
or ungrateful
surely We have prepared
for those who are
ungrateful
shackles and chains
and a Blaze
surely the truly good
will drink from a cup
mixed with camphor
a fountain from which
the servants of God drink
as it gushes out
in great amounts
they keep their promises
and fear a day
when evil is spread
far and wide
they give out food
for the love of Hu
to the needy
to the orphan
and to the captive
"We feed you only for
the Face of God
we want no repayment
from you
no thanking
we fear from our Liege
a day that is
grim and frowning"
so God saves them
from the evil
of that day
throwing light and joy
upon them
they are rewarded
for their patience
with a Garden
and silk
in it they will lie down
on couches
in it they will face
no burning sun
no bitter cold
its shading branches
will hang over them
its fruit in bunches
hanging there to be picked
and there will be
passed around them
bowls of silver
and goblets of crystal
silver crystal
they have measured
very exactly
in it they will be given
a cup to drink
with a mix of ginger
in it a fountain
whose name is
Salsabil
young people
who do not age
will go around serving them
when you see them
you would think they are
scattered pearls
when you see them
you see delight
and a vast realm
they will wear clothes of
green silk and brocade
made beautiful
with silver bracelets
and their Liege
will give them to drink
a pure drink
"Surely this is
a reward for you
and you are thanked
for your struggle"
surely We have sent down
this Reading on you
a little at a time
so be patient
under the judgement
of your Liege
and do not obey
any of those
who are evil
or ungrateful
and remember
the Name of your Liege
at dawn
and in the evening
and part of the night
and make Sajda before Hu
and glorify Hu
through the long night
surely they love
this hurried world
and put behind them
thoughts of a heavy day
We created them
and made their joints strong
and when We choose
We shall replace them
with others like them
surely this is a Reminder
so whoever wishes
can find a way
towards their Liege
but you will not
unless God wills
surely God is
All-Knowing
Wise
for Hu allows
into Hu's mercy
whoever Hu wills
as for those who do evil
Hu has prepared for them
a painful punishment
