the Fount-of-All-Mercy
the Ever-Merciful
by those sent
one after another
in violent storms
scattering
far and wide
separating
and dividing
hurling
a reminder
excusing
or warning
what you are promised
will surely happen
when the stars
are put out
when heaven
shall be split
when the mountains
will be scattered
when the Messenger's time
is decided
until what day
will that be delayed?
to the Day of Decision
and what will teach you
what is the Day of Decision?
on that day
woe to those
who call it lies
did We not destroy
the people of long ago
then follow them
with those who came later?
that is how We deal with
those who do evil
on that day
woe to those
who call it lies
did We not make you
from a mean liquid
that We placed
in a safe home
for a time
We decided?
We decide
with excellent deciding
on that day
woe to those
who call it lies
did We not make the earth
as a place to stay
for the living
and the dead
did We not set in it
soaring mountains
and give you
sweet water to drink?
on that day
woe to those
who call it lies
leave for the thing
you called lies
leave for a shadow
in three layers
giving no shade
against the blazing flame
that shoots out sparks
as big as palaces
like a herd of
yellow camels
on that day
woe to those
who call it lies
this is the day
they shall not speak
nor will they be allowed
to offer excuses
on that day
woe to those
who call it lies
this is the Day of Decision
We have gathered you
with those from long ago
so if you think
you can trick Me
then try to trick Me now
on that day

those who are
Mindful of God
will live amid
shade and fountains
and whatever fruits
their hearts desire
eat and drink
with good appetite
a reward
for what you were doing
this is the way We reward
those who do good
on that day
woe to those
who call it lies
eat and enjoy yourselves
for a little while
you who do evil
on that day
woe to those
who call it lies
when it is said to them
"Bow"
they will not
on that day
woe to those
who call it lies
what can be said after this
that they will believe?
