Right
Actions

You know, there are other ways that humans can act that are good for them

even though it's not easy for them to understand why,

like Giving Charity.

When we have got something that we like, why should we give it away and share it with other people?

It's not easy to see that Giving Charity is good for those who give as well as for those who get,

and it seems that a lot of Right Actions are a bit like that,

making an effort for someone else instead of yourself.

But as we learn more about Right Actions we find that acting this way makes our lives end up better and not worse.

Living in the Deen makes us feel better.

Now we know that different humans live their Deen in different ways,

but one person's way of living their deen can also change as they live their lives.

The things that are important in one place and time

can be different to what is important in different times and different places.

For instance,

another kind of Right Action which can be hard to do,

but can be very important for humans

is to do what they are told.

But you don't have to look at humans for very long to see that

an awful lot of them are trying to tell each other what they should be doing an awful lot of the time.

So they have to learn how to tell the difference between those they need to obey and those that they don't.

They need to know which rules are part of their deen and which are not,

and how these rules can change in different places and times.

So it's not that we have to obey everyone and anyone who tells us what to do,

but we have to learn that there are some people whose rules we have to follow,

whether we like it or not.

And we are guided as to which rules are part of our Deen

by God's Message in the Qur'an,

and the teachings of Muhammad, God's Messenger.

So let's find out more about how to act out our Deen.
